The Difference R10 Insulation Makes
To show the difference R10 makes we tested two types of heat insulation seperately
Normal Heat Insulation System & R10 Heat Insulation System
2022 Update:
Data from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) suggests that electricity prices per kwh will reach on average 28 p/kWh in 2022. Using these numbers, with R10 Insulation this equates to £371.56 per year, or £30.96 per month. Without R10 insulation, this equates to a whopping £1,228.92 per year, or £102.41 per month.
For 2022, this is a saving of £71.45 per month, or £857.36 per year.
How we tested the Moonstone
We tested the Moonstone under these Conditions:
We removed the cover for 30 minutes and used the spa for 15 minutes during that time.
Twice water circulations every day with each water circulation lasting 3 hours and all the motor operating for 1 minute before each water circulation
The rest of the time it was kept warm with the covers on
How we tested the Opal
We tested the Opal under these Conditions
2 Usages per day.
Twice water circulations every day with each water circulation lasting 3 hours and all the motor operating for 1 minute each day.
The rest of the time it was kept warm with the covers on
About the R10 Range
Our R10 range was created to provide our customers with some of the most energy-efficient and well-insulated hot tubs on the market. Each hot tub has its own custom-designed insulation that is there to reduce heat loss and retain the heat that is kept in each hot tub. Each hot tub in the R10 range has had over 13 years of experience poured into it. This includes manufacturing, testing, and building insulation into our hot tubs, so you can be certain our insulation is up there with some of the best insulation in the industry.
13 YEARS OF HOT TUB INSULATION EXPERIENCE
The main goal of our R10 range is to save you as much money as possible when it comes to your running costs. Our R10 insulation is built into the skirt of the hot tub and above the tray helping to lock in any heat radiated from electrical materials and transfer it directly to the hot tub’s plumbing. We have even tested our insulation against some of the other hot tubs in the industry and there is no competition.
From the testing we’ve done which combines both the R10 insulation and the R10 cover, we discover that there was a 41.3% energy savings compared to a hot tub with only a thin layer of insulation. For 2022, this is a potential saving of £71.45 per month, or £857.36 per year.
